On the day students, staff and volunteers raced around a specially created race track. Various sports cars and a fire engine were also on display. A prize-giving ceremony celebrated the achievements of the winners.

The National Schools Sports Week also included a variety of activities for students such as: boat trips around Poole Harbour,  Golden Goggle Swimming Gala,  Street Sports Displays

Chris Davies, Victoria Education Centre Principal said: “Sport Week is always the perfect opportunity for our young people to have fun and be physically active in a variety of inventive ways.

Our Grand Prix in particular brings together students and their families, as well as our staff and volunteers, for a great day of good-hearted, outdoor competition. We also always have an impressive display of sports cars and other vehicles on show at the Wheelchair Grand Prix and this year did not disappoint as our selection even included a fire engine.’’
