Livability recognised as ‘good’ by CQC regulators

January 31 2024

No less than five adult care services were inspected recently by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who acknowledged the exemplary work taking place at each location. Congratulations to Livability Keefield Close, Livability Wall Street, Livability Hallgate, Livability North East and Livability Beaumont Court for great results across the board. The report identified the high levels of care provided, the focus on encouraging independence and the positive culture created by staff. Below are some highlights from each CQC report.

Each service below includes a link to the CQC report it received.

Livability Keefield Close

“People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.”

Livability Wall Street

“People were supported to have maximum autonomy, choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.”

Livability Hallgate

“People were well cared for and were treated with dignity and respect. Staff spoke knowledgably of the people they supported and spoke fondly about them as individuals. People had good relationships with staff and looked happy and relaxed when being supported. They indicated they enjoyed living at the service and that staffed helped them when they needed support.”

Livability North East

“People were supported by staff who understood best practice in relation to the wide range of strengths, impairments or sensitivities people with a learning disability and/or autistic people may have. This meant people received compassionate and empowering care that was tailored to their needs. Staff placed people’s wishes, needs and rights at the heart of everything they did.”

Livability Beaumont Court

“People were well cared for and were treated with dignity and respect. Staff spoke fondly of the people they supported and considered the service to be like a ‘family’ unit. People had a good relationship with staff and looked happy and relaxed.”
