Virgin London Marathon

Whether you’re a first time runner or run many races before, we would love to have you on board the Livability team for the Virgin London Marathon and we will support you every step of the way.

• Starting point: Greenwich Park London
• Finishing point: Horseguards Parade, Westminster map
• Minimum sponsorship: £1,500

The Virgin London marathon is the biggest annual fundraising event in the world and what helps make this event so special is the friendship and support that you gain from being a part of a charity team.

“I can’t believe how amazing the day was.  Being my first marathon, I didn’t know what to expect, but the crowd was incredible and it really gets you going… I’m so happy I have done it.  To be a part of such an incredible event is a honour and raising money for Livability just tops it off.” Richard

“The live music playing all the way around was fantastic and really spurred me on, especially the junk rhythm groups and the 1940′s swing band at Woolwich. I think the lead singer must have known that this is my kind of music by the big grin on my face. As I ran past he caught my eye and gave me a wink and a wave. That wink kept me going for the next two miles!” Helen

“From start to finish the day itself was amazing and a day that I will never forget. The atmosphere and amount of support around the course was incredible and I am so pleased I could be a part of it. As we came to the finish line all the hard work in training and on the day itself was all worth it and as I gave my cousin Glen a massive hug we crossed the finish line together.  The emotions I felt were almost overwhelming and the sense of achievement was such a buzz. I can safely say that running the marathon was the hardest but most rewarding thing I have ever done and although I’m still very tired and aching I will be there next year to go through it all again.” Chris
