Stories we love

We love Jacob’s story…

Jacob – a student at Livability’s Victoria Education Centre. He recently undertook a parachute jump and life time ambition, to raise money for his school and disabled students it supports. Jacob’s story is one of ambition, inspiration, personal challenge and fun.

We love staff stories…

Offering a clean environment in a large residential centre is absolutely vital to the wellbeing and health of residents, staff and carers. A clean and orderly home also creates a welcoming and reassuring first impression for all visitors and reflects positively on the charity as a whole. Bradbury Court’s cleaning team was a story about high standards and care.

We love June’s story…

June is a resident at our Brookside house and is a talented artist. June drew some wonderful sketches of the garden at her home. We were able to celebrate the strengths of June’s art through this story – and also use her art in one of our fundraising appeals.

We love Will’s story…

Will is a retired reverend and volunteer at our Lifestyles Choices service. He volunteers regularly and with the people we support, is involved in a range of community focused programmes in the area. His story shows how Livability’s community approach is so important in bringing out everyone’s strengths.

We love Susan’s story…

Susan is one of the customers in Livability’s Lifestyle Choices programme and shared her story of being involved in a local community walk. We love this story because it shows how Susan is actively involved in her community, enjoying friendships and connections with others and spreading happiness.
