The Livability Spinal Injury Centre provides a range of services that enable people with spinal cord injury (SCI) to transition smoothly along care and rehabilitation pathways.
Building on rehabilitation skills learnt in specialist NHS SCI services, visitors to the centre can get a range of practical support to equip them for life beyond their injury. From advice in finding accessible housing, employment and vocational training, or wellbeing and psychological care, the service works to help people with SCI get their lives back on track.
Set in the grounds of Livability Holton Lee – a wellbeing discovery centre offering a range of services – the facility was opened by Livability’s patron, HRH The Princess Royal in 2017.
The Spinal Injury Centre is part of Livability’s specialised rehabilitation services for people with acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury (SCI). We work with people once they have completed the early phase of their treatment, in day and residential settings.
The Livability Spinal Injury Centre is sited in a broader wellbeing discovery centre, Livability Holton Lee. Good emotional and physical wellbeing are essential in any rehabilitation journey and visitors to the spinal injury centre can benefit from Holton Lee’s range of wellbeing services.
