Tower of London plays host to a special Carol service to celebrate friendship

Livability welcomed special guests, Vice Presidents, Trustees and donors to a special Christmas carol service at Tower of London.

Special guest readers included television and radio broadcaster Chris Tarrant OBE, and Andrew Douglass (Founder of Innovision and Parallel London), Sandra Scheerer (Director, Special Counsel, Pillsbury Law), Hugh Inman (Bradbury Foundation) and Bill Everett (Charity Manager for Snowdens).

This Christmas, Livability is focusing on why friendship really matters. Many people are at risk of being alone and disabled people are most likely to be socially isolated. Through positive relationships and being able to take part in their community, people health, life and well being outcomes are better.

‘As you get older you realise that friends, true friends, are just the best thing you’ll ever have,’ commented Chris Tarrant.

Sarah Lovell, a service user at Prospects – recently merged with Livability in May this year – offered a special reading called ‘My Christmas Wish for You.’

Guests also enjoyed the acclaimed sounds of the Choir of the Chapels Royal based at HM Tower of London.

Livability’s Chief Executive, Dave Webber, offered prayers and reflections on an exciting year for the charity.

The service was followed by a thank you meal for special guests, donors and supporters.
