Following the recent retirement announcement of Dave Webber, Livability are conducting a recruitment search for the charity’s next CEO. Dave Webber has served Livability as CEO since 2012 and previously worked as the charity’s Director of Adult Services.
In his retirement announcement Dave said: ‘During these last 15 years I’ve worked with literally thousands of staff and thousands of the people we support, it has been an incredible honour to be part of such a special charity. The general environment in the charity world continues to be tough, but we remain flexible and open to change as we move forward.
Since becoming CEO in 2012 I’ve been aware daily of both the privilege and the immense responsibility of bringing leadership to an organisation with over 170 years of history. I cannot tell you how proud I have been to lead an organisation with such a dynamic Christian ethos and with a staff group and Board of Trustees so committed to delivering the absolute best we can for all those we support.’
Livability is conducting their search for the next CEO with the agency Macaulay Search. The full details of the role are online – including a full recruitment pack about the objectives and responsibilities.
For over 170 years, Livability has been at the forefront of enabling people to live full and flourishing lives. From disability care provision, to promoting social inclusion and working to enhance community life – particularly in partnership with the church – Livability’s work is impactful and far reaching. Through all that we do, and shaped by our Christian ethos, we work to place the needs and gifts of the people we support at the centre.
Livability’s new CEO will lead a team of over 2,000 staff who deliver £50m of vital services for those with complex needs each year. They will put their Christian faith into practice as they direct a charity focused on mobilising local people and resources to see a lasting, positive transformation in our society. This is a time for a highly relational, professional and courageous CEO to help the charity’s vison for ‘livable communities’ become our shared reality.
