Friendship Really Matters - Livability's Christmas message

Today, Livability has launched a special focus on why Friendship Really Matters.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, the charity will be sharing a range of stories, films and events about the importance of friendship and community connections in the lives of the people we support.

Disabled people are often at greater risk of being socially isolated and often rate their happiness lower than those that do not report a disability.

But research shows that health, life and well being outcomes are stronger when people can enjoy positive relationships and community connections.

“As a charity, Livability exists to tackle isolation and work for inclusion. We seek to connect people with their community, so their lives, health and well being outcomes are better. The stories we share between now and Christmas will seek to show why positive relationships and community really can have an impact on someone’s life,” says Dave Webber, CEO.
