Volunteer with Livability

At Livability we believe everyone should be enabled to reach their full potential.

We believe that every community is rich with people and capacity to care for others. We invite you to join our enabling network. By getting active in a locality, donating to our work or volunteering in our programmes, you can make your community livable.

Whether it’s supporting our dedicated service staff with odd jobs or gardening, representing Livability at one of our events, or simply offering a friendly face for a chat and a cup of tea once a week, all our volunteers play a unique and exciting role within Livability’s enabling network. You can also get involved locally by organising and running local fundraising events for services in your community.

Maybe you have a particular skill, passion or simply want to give your time. Whatever your reason for volunteering, we want to hear from you!

Why volunteer with us?

  • Learn new skills
  • Use your skills and talents to make life just a little bit easier, a little bit more enjoyable, or just a little bit better for someone else
  • Make new friends
  • Try a new area of work
  • Have fun and give something back to your community
  • Read our recent article: ten reasons why you should volunteer

But most importantly, your contribution will go towards helping us provide excellent care using state of the art equipment in modern ‘fit for purpose’ facilities, supporting people to achieve their goals, campaigning for the rights of disabled people and changing the lives of thousands in the UK and abroad.
