I was pleased to take part in the postcard project as it is increasingly important to protect our bees. This pen and ink design is looking at patterns in our beautiful wildlife.
Gill Williams is a Dorset artist and children’s book author and illustrator. Her images have been influenced by the beauty of the natural environment, depicting the dramatic landforms and wildness of the coast. Her paintings are in watercolour overlaid with pen and ink. Most of her life she has been fortunate enough to have lived in Dorset and she cannot remember when wildlife did not fascinate her. Her past career as a primary school teacher in Dorset encouraged her to write and illustrate family books about conservation. At present, she exhibits her work at Purbeck New Wave Gallery, Swanage.
