Take the 2.6 Challenge for Livability

In response to thousands of charity events being cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sporting events in the UK joined forces to create The 2.6 Challenge. Their aim is to support charities through this difficult time.

 

Join #TeamLivability for The 2.6 Challenge

  • Create an activity themed around 2.6 or 26 – you could walk 2.6k backwards, run 2.6 miles, hop 26 times, bake 26 scones, draw 26 alphabet animals, drop 26 squats over 26 days or host a 26- question virtual quiz – the ideas are endless, so pick whatever is fun or challenging.   • Set up your JustGiving fundraising page or donate £2.60, £26 or whatever you can afford
  • Ask family and friends to sponsor you, then why not invite them to remotely join in?
  • Complete your challenge!
  • Share photos and videos on social media using #TeamLivability #TwoPointSixChallenge

 

When and how can I join in?

Launched on Sunday 26 April, the date that was set for the 40th London Marathon… the 2.6 challenge has no set date. To participate, simply choose whatever date suits you and take on your personal 2.6 Challenge. Whatever you do, and whenever you choose to do it, any funds you raise will help the charity at an incredibly challenging time (both for us and the thousands of individuals and families we support). And please be careful to follow government guidelines on exercise and social distancing at the time of participation; to keep yourself and others safe.

Livability is on the frontline of this pandemic, providing care, nursing, education and support to disabled people who are the most vulnerable in this crisis.  Our services are a lifeline for those who use our services and for the NHS. We’re working to save lives – but we can’t do it without your help. So, please join The 2.6 Challenge with Livability.
