Located right on the seafront near Southend-on-Sea, Dolphin Court provides wheelchair accessible accommodation for up to 17 adults.

Your home

Dolphin Court is purpose-built for wheelchair users, with extra-wide corridors and spacious rooms. Most of our individual, self-contained flats have a sea view. Each flat has its own bed/sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, television and phone point. Fittings and hoists can be adjusted to suit individual needs.

In addition to the self-catering facilities, residents can eat together in the large dining area where meals are served during the week.

Friends and family are welcome to visit, at any time.

Our staff

Staff here aim to provide excellent support, and facilitate independence. Every resident here is encouraged to make choices and decisions about their lives. Each person is offered a high standard of physical and emotional support, along with continuous assessment, goal setting, care planning and risk assessment. Each individual has varying needs, abilities and priorities and develops independence skills at their own pace.

Lifestyle & opportunities

Our full-time activities co-ordinator ensures there is a full programme of activities, based on our resident’s feedback. 14 of our residents go to local colleges, attending a wide-range of courses, including computing, cookery, art and pottery.

Local amenities

A nearby shopping centre offers a wide range of shops and local facilities include restaurants, pubs, clubs, a bowling alley, a swimming pool and SeaLife Centre.
