Questionnaire Pack: this 55 page pack draws on Shaftesbury's experience of supporting several local churches and groups to develop and use community questionnaires. It is a practical, hands-on guide to all aspects of researching, writing, conducting and evaluating a community questionnaire. Its colourful and accessible style makes it a particularly attractive and useful tool for people with little or no previous experience in this area.
Cost: £2 from www.communitymission.org.uk

Charismatic and Connected argues that churches and their members need to take seriously the biblical call to 'act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God' and be a force for transformation in their communities. Rooted in practical experience, this booklet issues a challenge to the urban church to connect its passion for God to the needs of its community- to be both charismatic and connected.
Cost: £2 from www.communitymission.org.uk

Why Social Action: A pack of four studies - useful for individuals and small groups - reflecting on what the Bible says about getting involved in your community and encouraging you to take action. Studies include: "Let Scripture speak", "Good news to the poor", "The gospel, the whole gospel and nothing but the gospel" and "It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it!"
