Hinwick Hall is looking for new Governors with a passion for helping disabled young people develop into independent adults.
Hinwick Hall College is a specialist day and residential college providing further education and training for around 50 students aged 16 to 25 with a range of severe, profound, multiple physical and learning difficulties.
Our Local Governing Body plays a vital role in supporting the College improve outcomes for all students in achieving their potential. The college is particularly interested in hearing from people who:
- Have a range of professional backgrounds with an interest in or knowledge of special needs education
- Care about improving the lives of young people with physical and learning difficulties
- Want to contribute to the local community
- Want to work as part of a team and can commit to a maximum of six evening meetings per annum
- Support our Christian ethos and values
- Are willing to undertake relevant training to enable you to be an effective and pro-active governor.
Governors meet twice each term, which equates to 6 evening per year, to guide and lead the college. Previous experience of a similar role isn’t essential and full support will be given to new Governors in their role.
In addition, if you have leadership skills, experience of committee work and an understanding of working with a regulatory framework we are also looking for a Chair of Governors to work collaboratively with the Principal to lead on the organisation and work of the board.
