Thank you to everyone who donated to our Switch On appeal. With your help we surpassed our target of £35,162.

Many students studying and living at Livability’s educational establishments have disabilities that limit their speech and motor skills. Different assistive technologies can enable them to overcome these difficulties to communicate and interact with the world.

With your help we’ll now be able to ensure that we can buy specialist switches that will help our students use computer equipment to communicate and interactive whiteboards that will help present their work to the rest of the class. It will quite literally transform students like Anandi’s lives, helping them grow in confidence and find their voice.

Many people today take computers for granted, relying on them in both their work and personal lives. Our disabled students must not be left behind, as computer access can have an even more liberating effect for them.
