We would like to help your church engage more fully with disabled people.
66% of churches say they need ideas for how to include disabled people in church activities. In response to this need, Livability, in partnership with Churches for All, has developed Finding Hidden Treasure, a comprehensive resource pack to help your church plan and run a “Disability Sunday” at any time of the year that is convenient.
We believe that disabled people have an enormous amount to offer the life and ministry of the Church. However too often barriers are put in their way that hide the contribution they can bring: too often the gifts and faith of disabled people are Hidden Treasure waiting to be discovered.
Livability is a member of Churches for All, a partnership of UK Christian disability organisations. Our aim is to help churches create and sustain an environment where disabled people can participate fully in church life for the benefit of all.
